Two students of JUST have secured internship opportunities in China

Anas Al Hossain, a fourth-year student of the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department (PME) , and Aminul Islam, a second-year student, both from Jashore University of Science and Technology  have obtained internship opportunities at Tongji University in China.


On Monday (June 5), they left Bangladesh on a flight of China Eastern Airlines for their purpose in China. During this 40-day internship, they will have the opportunity to conduct geochemical analysis in the 'State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology' at Tongji University in Shanghai. They will be supervised by Dr. H.M. Jakir Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Professor of the PME Department at JUST. By participating in joint research with Jashore University and Tongji University in China, they have acquired this internship opportunity related to sample analysis.


Before leaving for China with the purpose of Bangladesh, the two students of the PME Department also had the privilege of meeting with Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain, the Vice-Chancellor and a recipient of the Ekushey Padak at JUST. At this time, the Vice-Chancellor said, "You are the flag bearers of this university. The better you perform in education and research, the more the reputation of this university will increase. We hope that you will leave your mark of success in China as well. Best wishes from the university family to all of you."

Anas Al Hossain and Aminul Islam expressed their gratitude to all, including their supervisor, Professor Dr. H.M. Jakir Hossain, for their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication in guiding them to the present position. They stated that without the proper guidance of their supervisor, it would never have been possible to tread such a difficult path. Similarly, they expressed their gratitude to the other teachers of the department.

Dr. Feroz Kabir, a teacher at JUST, received international recognition at the "World Physiotherapy Congress-2023"
